Mechanicum

In the Horus Heresy universe, the Mechanicum plays a central role. It is the organization of the Tech-Priests of the Imperium, responsible for the research, maintenance, and manufacturing of technology and weapons. During the Horus Heresy, parts of the Mechanicum were divided: some Tech-Priests remained loyal to the Emperor, while others, influenced by Horus and the Chaos Gods, turned to the Dark Mechanicum. The loyal Tech-Priests fought bravely to protect humanity and their sacred technologies, while the Dark Mechanicum used forbidden technologies and dark sorcery to spread chaos and corruption.
